Salutations, lovely people! I look forward to doing business with you. Everything you see on here is handmade by me in my studio in Upstate New York. Above all, I hope you enjoy the things that come out of my hands and into your life, and that they become a treasured part of your home.

I understand how costly it can be to provide the students in your charge with high quality, engaging materials, so I am pleased and proud to offer a 15% discount for all you lovely folks who will use these materials to enrich your classroom environment.

The discount extends to these individuals:

*This is an honor system. Please allow me to continue to offer this perk for teachers by not using the discount unless you are actually a teacher, librarian or homeschool parent.

I accept PayPal and all major credit cards.

Change your mind? No problem!...but if at all possible, kindly notify me within 3 days of your purchase (especially with made-to-order items) that you would like to cancel a transaction and I will gladly do so.

Recycled boxes will be used for larger orders. New boxes are available upon request.

*Please indicate on your order form if you would like any further gift-wrapping.

For made-to-order items, please allow the amount of time stated in my shop announcement before notification of shipment. I will try to keep up with my estimated ship dates to the best of my ability. I pride myself on my communication with customers, so if anything changes, you will be the first to know.

Kindly allow a longer turnaround time for larger orders. I will be in touch throughout the process with updates.

Refunds and Exchanges

I will accept refunds on a case-by-case basis. If your item is damaged in the mail, or arrives at your doorstep with any defects, I will supply the return shipping cost, and you will have the option of having your money refunded, or the item replaced. I will not grant any refunds unless the damaged item is returned to me in the condition it was when it arrived to you.

Returns will not be accepted after 14 business days.

All items are made with the highest regard to craftsmanship and durability. If you feel that your item has not withstood a reasonable amount of play, contact me. If your child takes a pair of scissors to their apple tree, there isn't much I can do. If garland strings break, apples or pears get lost right away or seams split after five minutes of contact, I will do my best to accommodate your specific need.

Custom/personalized items cannot be returned.

All shipping costs include insurance. If your item is definitely lost in the mail, an insurance claim will be filed, and you will have the choice of ordering a free replacement, or having your money refunded. Please note that the tracking information on items may not be constantly updated--some USPS facilities are more reliable than others--so if you don't notice any activity in your tracking log, don't panic!

  • As stated above, all of the items I make are crafted to the best of my abilities, but please be aware of the risks of purchasing handmade toys. They have not passed any official federal safety tests, and are not made with hypo allergenic materials. As a teacher, I understand the risks in giving any toy to children, but I do ask that you use common sense when purchasing anything from my shop. Here are some specs to help gauge what toys are appropriate for specific age levels and needs:
  •  All items are crafted with natural wool and/or organic cotton. If your child has a wool allergy, I would be happy to create something for you using exclusively cotton. Material contents and care instructions are included with the item AND in the item's listing. If you have any questions about material content, let me know!
  • All of the counting and sorting Montessori works include removable magnetic parts, and present a choking hazard to very young children. All magnets are glued, and then sewn into the materials, so they will not come out easily! However, the CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) requires me to include warnings on magnetic items for children. I generally recommend using these items for children 6 and up. Any younger, constant adult supervision is strongly advised.
  • All items are created in a smoke-free environment. I do have a cat and a dog. All items are carefully brushed and checked for the errant animal hair before packaging (they don't come in direct content with my materials, so any instance of this is a rarity). If you or your child is SEVERELY allergic to microscopic pet dander, it may not be the best idea to purchase toys from my shop.
  •  All painted items use AP certified non-toxic paint, and are heat set, so the paint won't rub off. I can't make any guarantees about what will happen if your child puts them in their mouth, so it's best to say they are not suitable for children under 5.
  • Ultimately, use your own judgement when purchasing handmade toys. You know your child better than anyone!

I make everything with my own two hands. Although I do use patterns for made to order items, each item is a unique creation with its own quirks and bits of personality. If you are looking for items that are 100% identical to listing photographs, I might recommend that you look at my one of a kind items.

If you have been referred to my shop by a friend or family member I would love to hear about it! They will receive 15% off their next purchase.
